Forgot what? We got a title. We got a picture. And you know that Downtown never happens on St. Joseph. I think leaving Davis hanging out on the neutral ground somewhere wondering there they hell they are (as dialed in as he thinks he is) would be hilarious.
I’m curious (we may need to loop in Big Red or LisaP) but what day is really more important? Mardi Gras or St. Joseph?
Yeah, it’s a slippery slope. Before you know it people will be posting fan sightings of their favorite BoT bloggers and then we might as well give up and become a fanboy link farm.
(Sorry Maitri, this is the longest-ass Friday afternoon ever.)
Yeah, Pat, paintball with the Wire guys would be too much fun. As for Omar, we all love Omar, but Omar won’t shoot ya if you’re a “civilian.” Man’s got a code ya know.
St. Joseph’s Day is the 19th of March just as St. Patrick’s Day is the 17th. I think Super Sunday is the Sunday closest to it arbitrarily selected for the celebration. The St. Patrick’s Day parade is also set on the weekend here, I think. I wonder if the Treme writers will give us a reference to a St. Joseph’s Day altar somewhere. I don’t think we really have any Italian characters.
It’s not just about Italian. It’s about food and celebration. You know there’s gonna be a St. Joseph’s Altar, if not this year then next season. It would be crazy not to have one.
Before Brocato’s reopened, I think the folks working to get it redone and reopened were busy helping make some Italian cookies and pastry for local St. Joseph’s altars ’round that time of the year after the flood. Plus, I do want to see some people running around with lucky beans.
This seems like a good enough time to say the best way to enjoy Wendell Pierce’s acting is to watch his face at all times and listen for the little noises he makes between reading his lines. This fella is awesome. He needs more awards.
I don’t know, Ray, if you can manage to get a hella cool Treme actor (David Kern) and a BOT blogger in one shot like that, I’m willing to make exceptions.
Just no .wav files of Folse and Adrastos screaming like schoolgirls at a Justin Bieber concert on drinking with Kim Dickens or Khandi Alexander, ok?
uh oh. I fucked up. I blame yardwork. I got the sunstroked and fergot

Can anyone ID the Assistant District Attorney actress? I was struggling in IMDB.
OMAR COMIN!
Not directly related to Treme, but paintball with the cast of the Wire is an idea about three miles past awesome.
Am now thinking of Treme-themed fundraisers for New Orleans area causes…
Donna Duplantier
Least that’s who I think it is. She was fantastic in Shotgun.
I think I saw her at the BP Protest a couple of weeks ago.
Never mind. I found her. It’s Donna DuPlantier, but I promised Maitri to not post fan sightings or pics here.
Do they make paintball shotguns? “I wanna be Omar this time.”

Splatmatic .50 caliber pump-action paintball shotgun.
When you absolutely, positively got to paint over ever MF in the room, accept no substitute.
She was definitely at the BP protest Sunday before last. Cousin Pat saw her first & pointed her out to me. We had a great view.

Not sure what her name is, but she was in Shotgun at Southern Rep. You could look on their website.
Aw, hell, people, don’t encourage Coozan Pat. Next thing he’ll organize is a fireworks golf fundraiser…
And I saw Donna DuPlantier at the Frank’s Place showing a couple of weeks ago, too.
We can’t forget Super Sunday, either, y’all – or is that the same day as St. Joe’s? I forget…
SPLATMATIC!!! OMFG!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

i hope i live long enough for this bp shit to feel the same way.

Maybe you can whistle “the cheese stands alone” while you blast MFers with paint.
