I am actually surprised that it was Janette. OTOH, I wouldn’t put it past Athenae to vote more than once. We all know how they do in Chicago…
I love Janette like she’s my child. I found myself watching last week wanting to send her piles of money. And then remembered:
a) I have no piles of money
b) NOT REAL
Which is when I realized I’d somehow gone crazy for this show, and it was becoming like Season Two West Wing for me, where I felt like all this stuff was happening to nice people that I knew.
Not for nothing, she bears a somewhat passing resemblance to another character in another show I sort of remember you being a titch fond of…
Yeah, she’s like if CJ Cregg and Starbuck had a funny, sexy baby who could cook.
I’d like her more if she had red hair.
My needs are very basic.
Since Albert’s shirt disappeared after the pilot, I’ve been coveting Delmond’s shirts while Mrs Wig-at-risk approves of their removal.
I mostly just want to sleep with her. B^)
Other than that one scene in the car to the airport, Delmond leaves me cold. Which, I think, he’s supposed to. He needs to remove that stick from his ass, and I assume he shall sooner or later.
Yep, this week’s practice scene seems to telegraph a warming-to-tradition/parental reconciliation arc but who knows what’s intended here, here’s hoping it’s not quite so obvious. Oh, and please send his ties too…
oh damn, you know it’s bad for Delmond when he’s neck and neck with Davis and Sonny at the bottom of the barrel (0 votes)
What do you mean I can’t vote twice. Isn’t this New Orleans?
Just an aside, this Sunday’s episode was co-written by Davis Rogan, so plenty of opportunity for meta-Davis-hate for all of you haters.
Yeah, since the past coupla episodes, it’s LaDonna AND Janette for me. I mean…
But Davis Hate Day just came and went.
It must be a movable feast. I’m less inclined to dislike him than I was, maybe Thursday is better.
Nice poll question but I really need more than one vote. There is more than one underdog; there are some fabulous (so far) minor characters, several very interesting women; Albert is a compelling man. You see the problem. I think four votes might be a little closer.
@Athenae: I sometimes find myself quoting TWW; it’s as if I experienced it rather than simply watched it.
I want to know who gave Albert my middle-school vintage collection of purple floral shirts with the sharp collars and poofy sleeves. I was a sharp-dressed motherfucker. Apparently.
This is a hard ass question, y’all.
I love Toni, LaDonna and Janette, differently but equally. I’ve stopped hating Davis and look forward to his scenes. I voted for Annie, wishing I could shelter her, but when you get right down to it, it is Sonny whose every move and mood I watch with fear and anticipation, riveted.
In a freak incident of harmonic convergence, the horrendous Kevin Bacon “film” Hollow Man was on the talking-picture-box last night, and not knowing anything about it I accidentally watched the maximum 15 minutes allowed by the Geneva Convention, and there, behold, for your dining and dancing pleasure, was Kim Dickens as a redhead….
watch with the sound off
Good to know
Poor Toni … down at the bottom with Stick in the Ass Delmond and Psycho Sonny. See? That’s where playing by the rules gets you.
I think Janette edged everybody out ’cause of her storyline being so compelling this week. If there’d been more going on with LaDonna or Antoine this week, things might well have been different.
It was a tossup between Janette and Toni for me. I picked the chef over the do gooder because she wouldn’t feed me gray meat loaf…
I only just discovered that Khandi Alexander was the hottie on Newsradio with Phil Hartman back in the day. Had I known that when I saw her in The Corner, her performance would’ve blown my mind even moreso.
Well, yeah… losing the restaurant gave her a bounce in the polls, and probably even swayed my vote.
not everything is political.
