Sweeeet, another blog

Seems Back of Town is in this whole thing with Watching Treme, whose blogmaestra (maestro?) VenetianBlond has another angle at which to approach all this, and some extra links for the perusal of all. Go take a look.

And, VB found a link that mentions both blogs:

Treme epitomizes the sort of great storytelling we all thirst for on TV but rarely find,” argues Heather Havrilesky in Salon. “Sure, we’re just a bunch of outsiders, but this drama has captured our hearts and now we’re in love — silly, awestruck, enchanted, sobbing, swooning love.”

For the latest lengthy profiles of Simon, turn to Larry Blumenfeld in the Voice and Emily Nussbaum in New York. Two blogs are posting Treme-related news, links, reviews, pix, the works: Watching Treme and Back of Town, both via Cargo co-editor Ekkehard Knörer, who’s also posted a making-of (14’02”) and a promo (2’37”).

Getting closer to the premiere, folks. Great to have found you, VenetianBlond!

Hey! Good to know you too! I started Watching Treme because as an obsessed “The Wire” watcher, I would scour the internet looking for reviews and other content after every episode. I lost track of sources more than once, and repeatedly thought, “Why can’t all this be in one place?” That’s what I’m trying to do for this show–be a clearinghouse for the great interviews, commentary, and such. Look for Back of Town on the sidebar!

wow- very nice to get a link from Havrilesky. That will get us some traffic.

And, hey there VenetianBlond. Been following you on Twitter.

We are all just getting warmed up here. Take a look in the Krewe section for places you might find us elsewhere.
